A McDonald’s customer who spotted Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old man suspected of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson last week, described the moment when he saw the suspect in the building.

The man, identified only as Larry, told Fox News that he was with a group of friends in the McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa., when one of them pointed out Mangione.

“One of my friends — and I thought he was kidding — when the shooter… who they made the arrest on came in, he made a comment, “Well, that looks like the shooter from New York.” But the group of us thought it was more of a joke and we were kidding about it. But then as it turned out, it was him,” Larry said, as reported by Fox News.

Mangione was charged with murder in New York City. The 26-year-old faces five counts, including murder in the second degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, an arrest warrant showed.

Police said that a ghost gun, silencer and writings expressing ill will toward corporate America were found on Mangione, which linked him to the crime.

Mangione, an Ivy League graduate, said in a handwritten note that he acted alone.

Mangione was arrested Monday on gun charges in Altoona, according to New York City police, who described him as a “person of interest” in last week’s shooting.
