President Trump will reportedly announce his first concrete steps Thursday toward expanding access to in vitro fertilization (IVF), an expensive procedure to induce pregnancy that he promised to make more affordable during his 2024 campaign.

Trump signed an executive order in February asking for recommendations for policies that could lower IVF costs. He will issue guidance Thursday seeking to encourage more employers to cover the procedure as part of health insurance plans, according to The New York Times.

One key question will be how to include IVF in health plans without causing a spike in monthly premiums, which are already set to jump next year.

During his campaign, Trump said he’d support public funding for in vitro fertilization, which can cost more than $10,000 per procedure, or a mandate requiring insurance companies to cover it.

“We’re doing this because we just think it’s great. And we need great children, beautiful children in our country, we actually need them,” Trump told NBC in August.

Watch the live stream of Thursday’s event, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EDT.
